Scope and Contents

This stylized color lithograph by Don Kueker was a popular item in the catalog of Concordia Publishing House. Kueker was an illustrator for CPH for many years. This quarter bust (right) is indicative of the late 1950s and early 1960s and portrays Luther in warm tones with a sophisticated look and a Talar that resembles a smoking jacket.

Scope and Contents This dramatic monochrome lithograph by Hungarian artist, Károly Lühnsdorf, portrays Martin Luther in a heavy coat holding a large bible. Luther's left hand securely guards the Scriptures, while his right hand is placed in a gesture of loyalty and unswerving faithfulness to the doctrines revealed by the prophets and apostles.
